The Korean thriller “doubt” wins at the festival of the world Italian series

The South Korean psychological thriller “Doubt”, written by Han Ah-Young, won the first international prize in the dramatic series in the inaugural edition of the Festival of the World Italian series on Saturday at Arena Ceccarini in Riccione, Italy.
Han Suk-Kyu won the best actor in a dramatic series prize for the show, which concerns a renowned profileur torn between love and suspicion while investigating a murder linked to his psychopathic daughter.
Lisa Mulcahy won the best director of a dramatic series for the British program “The Assassin”, while the best actress of a dramatic prize went to Phyllis Logan for “The Puzzle Lady”.
The dramatic jury was led by director Cristina Comenci.
The Spanish “Celeste”, written by Diego San José, won the prize for the best series of international comedy while the best actress in a comedy series was given to Carmen Marchi of the show.
Other prizes in the comedy category included the best director, who went to Christopher Smith for “Video Nasty” in Ireland, and the best actor, taken up by Ahmet Kural for the Turkish program “Gassal”.
A special jury prize was awarded to the British series of Steven Moffat “Douglas is canceled”.
The comedy jury was led by the director / screenwriter Paolo Genovese.
The jury of the limited competition of the series, led by the director / screenwriter ball ball, voted for the Ukrainian war drama “The Train” as Best Limited Series.
The prize for the best director was awarded to Lucy Gaffy for “Mix Tape”, a co -production between Australia, Canada and Ireland.
The actor prices were awarded to Laure Calamy for “The Confidentante” of France and Matthew Gurney for the “meeting” of the United Kingdom.
The special jury prize was awarded to “Kabul”, written by Olivier Demangel, Thomas Finkelkraut and Joey Lavy.
The festival is a reincarnation of Rome Fiction Fest, which took place for 10 years in the Italian capital until 2016.
This year’s festival took place from June 23 to June 28 in Riccione and Rimini, Italy.
