More than a million people have warned against repairs of “expensive” vehicles

More than a million people in New Jersey have been warned of “costly” repairs if they leave their vehicles in vulnerable areas during tidal floods on Wednesday.

Why it matters

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Mount Holly, New Jersey, published a notice of coastal floods in the middle of the threat of minor tidal floods on Wednesday. The opinion said that the expected flood could close vulnerable roads and damage vehicles left in locations subject to floods.

What to know

The opinion of the coastal floods warns between half a step and 1 flooding foot in the coastal areas and bass bay.

“At this level, the floods begin on the most vulnerable roads in coastal communities and bay, and along the interior tidal lanes,” said the opinion. “Partial or complete road closures are possible.”

Notices are in place along the entire Atlantic coast of New Jersey and include areas such as Atlantic City, Ocean City, Linwood and Toms River.

The opinion warns residents not to leave vehicles in the areas subject to floods and not to cross flooding because vehicles can be damaged, resulting in costly repairs.

People in the affected areas have been asked not to leave their vehicles in one place in tidal floods and not to cross flood waters.

“Water can be deeper than you think,” said the opinion. “You will get in danger and your vehicle can be damaged, which will result in costly repairs.”

In addition to the opinion of coastal floods, NWS Mount Holly weather warned against the high risk of dangerous currents on the Atlantic beaches.

Similar opinions extend to the east coast and have been published for parts of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Delaware and other states.

Most opinions are expected to expire on Wednesday afternoon. Similar opinions could be re -moved on Thursday. People in affected areas should follow local weather guidelines.
