Gunshots reported near University of Iowa campus

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – The University of Iowa asked students to shelter in place Friday afternoon.

The University of Iowa’s emergency alert system has issued a message about a shooting near campus.

Alerts indicate there were shots fired near Burlington and Governor, and the suspect fled west on foot.
