Whitney Decker, the mother of three daughters, allegedly killed by their father, Travis Decker, in Washington, speaks of their death.

After revealing that her daughters were all in therapy and learned to discuss their feelings openly in the middle of their parents’ divorce, she was unleashed sobbing. “I am so grateful for this period that I had with girls,” she said. She then added that family conversations on their feelings allowed them to “connect” each other. “When the world has slowed down, it gave me a glimpse of their day,” she revealed by discussing their feelings during the girl’s bedtime routine.

“I believe that doing this with them allowed them to come to the world with open hearts and a kindness,” said Whitney.

She concluded by thanking the people in mourning for their “outpouring of love”.

“I really hope that the heritage of the life of girls lives in everyone’s heart forever. They were incredible.”

Whitney recalled that the “warm and open hearts” of his daughters helped her divorce Travis.

In a press release shared with people by email on June 13, lawyer Arianna Cozart, who represents Whitney, revealed the separate couple in 2022 following “their alleged mental health struggles, including their feelings of isolation, paranoia and limited personality disorder”.

Cozart noted that Travis, who was an army veteran, was looking for mental health care but could not obtain it. The Decker Sisters were seen for the last time on Friday, May 30, after leaving their Washington home for a “planned visit” with their father.

According to the declaration of the Wenatchee police department, the “visit was part of a parental plan,” noting that he had “left the parameters of it, which is not normal and causes an alarm”.

Their mother reported them on May 30 around 9:45 p.m. by The New York Times. Travis was supposed to drop them home at 8 p.m. that evening, but they never returned. In a press release, the Wenatchee police service shared that the authorities had located their father’s car near the Rock Island campsite in Chelan County, Washington, and found Paitact, Evelyn and Olivia died at 3:45 p.m. on June 2. Travis, however, was not located on the scene. Their cause of death was then confirmed as a suffocation.

After the announcement of the girls’ death on June 3, police announced at a press conference that Travis had been accused of three first degree murder leaders and a chief of abduction, in addition to the accusations of childcare interference with which he was already confronted – and the search for him continued.

In the declaration sent by Cozart to people, the lawyer said she was thinking that Travis is probably deceased by suicide.

On the evening of June 8, the County Sheriff’s Bureau of Chelan transferred Travis’s research efforts to the federal authorities, while noting that they would continue to conduct the criminal investigation.
