Molly Qerim comes out “First Take” and ESPN

Molly Qerim, a firm ESPN personality which was a key element of one of the most popular programs on the network, “First Take”, leaves the program as well as the giant of the sports media supported by Disney.
“After a lot of reflection, I decided it was time to close this incredible chapter and move away from” First Take “,” said Qerim in a note published on social networks. “The organization of this show was one of the greatest honors of my career. Each morning, I had the privilege of sharing the office with some of the brightest, passionate and entertaining voices of sport – and with you all, the best fans in the world.” She suggested that she could have other opportunities in the future: “Stay attentive,” said Qerim.
Addressing the viewers of “first take” on Tuesday, the host Stephen A. Smith said that Qerim had been “a huge part of our success for a decade. Not only did she keep me and many others online, but she did it with dignity, class and kindness, to say the least. ”
Qerim was the silent sheriff of “First Take”, now a constant presence which was perhaps not the most spectacular, but which has always ordered respect.
Qerim, 41, joined ESPN in 2006. During her first years with the network, she welcomed programs focused on university football and fantastic football, but joined “First Take” in 2015 when he was still shown mainly on ESPN2, replacing Cari Champion. Qerim made his debut as an ancient for CBS Sports Network.
Burke Magnus, President of ESPN content, said in a statement that the network respected Qerim’s decision and wished him well in future roles.
