Mohammed Siraj suffers hilarious wardrobe malfunction and loses his pants during India’s 2nd ODI vs Australia

Team India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj gave fans an unexpected moment of laughter during the second of the three-match ODI series against Australia at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday (October 23). Siraj accidentally lost his pants while lining up at the boundary line, leaving commentators and fans divided.
The Mitchell Marsh-led side is chasing a target of 265 runs to secure series victory against India. They are currently in a comfortable position to achieve victory. Earlier, opener Rohit Sharma and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer scored half-centuries as Shubman Gill’s side posted a total of 264/9 in their allotted 50 overs.

The moment happened on the third ball of the 38th over of the Australian innings. Mohammed Siraj provided a moment of humor as he lined up near the border. As he dove to stop the ball from reaching the ropes, his pants caught awkwardly and slipped down.

However, he wore black compression shorts underneath. The incident amused fans and commentators. Siraj managed to prevent the ball from crossing the boundary line, as it deflected off his body and back into the field.

Mohammed Siraj drops a cart on Matthew Short at Washington Sundar’s bowling alley
Earlier in the match, Mohammed Siraj missed a crucial chance to dismiss Matthew Short. Short, well placed on 53, played a cross-court shot through the covers which ended at backward point. The ball went straight into Siraj’s hands, but he failed to hold on. At this stage Australia were 139/4 in their run.
Siraj made up for his mistake on the last ball of the 36th over. Harshit Rana bowled a short delivery which Short tried to attack, and Siraj completed the catch. Short had to return to the dressing room for 74 off 78 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes.
India managed to run the batter out of the set, but Short had already contributed important runs to Australia’s total, putting the hosts in a good position at 187/5 during the chase.

India, after being asked to bat first, managed to post 164/9 in their 20 overs. Skipper Rohit Sharma top-scored with 73 off 97 balls, including seven fours and two sixes. Shreyas Iyer (61 off 77), Axar Patel (44 off 41) and Harshit Rana (24* off 18) made useful contributions for the visiting team.
For Australia, Adam Zampa was the leading bowler with four wickets for 60 runs, while Xavier Bartlett and Mitchell Starc contributed with three and two wickets, respectively.
Earlier in the series, Australia took a 1-0 lead after winning the first match in Perth by seven wickets using the DLS method. The third and final ODI is scheduled to take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, October 25.
