Moderate earthquake felt in central and northern Portugal | Guard

An earthquake of moderate intensity was felt on Saturday around 12:38 a.m. in central and northern Portugal. The earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 4.1 degrees, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), had an epicenter between Celorico da Beira and Fornos de Algodres, in the municipality of Guarda, 20 kilometers deep.
Testimonies collected in site TO DO Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMC) indicate that the earthquake was felt by the population in a vast area stretching from Ferreira do Zêzere, in the south, to Barcelos, in the north, passing through Coimbra, Porto, Viseu or Covilhã.
To date, there is no news of damage resulting from this phenomenon.
