For the first time, the Major League Star Match next week in Atlanta will include the use of the automated ball ball (ABS) system.
The ABS Défi system, which allows players to request a video review of a limited number of balls and strikes, could be part of the regular season from 2026 after being introduced in more than half of this year’s spring training games.
