The actress, whose past credits include a regular serial role in the favorite of NBC fans who have become-netflix ManifestTargue for having worked hard to get to where she is, and she does not plan to stop anytime soon.
Below, Blaise speaks with THR about Jurassic World RebirthBy seizing any opportunity to become beginning, and where she sees herself in the future.
What do you think of joining such a beloved and a large franchise with Jurassic World Rebirth?
Really, it was an incredible experience from the start to make the call so far. It was a minute minute situation, with enthusiasm, edifying the eyes and melting. When you receive the call to do it, it is the one you will never forget. Honestly, I was so blessed. Being able to have this opportunity and working with the people I made and continuing to make this trip is so exciting. I’m so excited now for the world to see it now.
It must be a little intimidating. Do you think you learned something from other distribution members?
Beyond. Oh my God, yes. Everything was a learning experience. I felt like I was in the masterclass, literally. Be able to work with the people I have made – [the] The actors, yes, but also the crew. It’s just not your everyday thing. Honestly, [it was] A university course for what I want to do – to have a captain of the ship, who was Scarlett [Johansson]And to be able to set the tone for everything. Really from the start, the tone was set, and we all knew that whatever happens, we will all be taken care of. We all have the back of the other. It is a difficult process, but we are not going to be able to do it with each other. We stayed with that, which was so useful and so incredible.
How was it to watch the film with the public during the first? What were the reactions, especially with your big T-Rex scene?
It was completely surreal. I just remember sitting at Odeon [Luxe in London]And I was just with all my casting, and finally we see it and hear it being received by others. You look around, and you are just like, Oh my God, it happens. To be able to have so many people invested and involved and exploring everything, it made the experience much more reinforced and so much more memorable because it was not only you experience it. You were in a room with everyone by making it live, and it was so special.
Have you always seen this type of film for yourself, or do you think it’s a departure for you?
I think that for me, if I wrote the script for my acting career, I don’t think I know what I see at all. I have a vision of the place where I want to go and what I want to achieve, but everything that comes from the ride. All this is part of the trip. I was lucky to be able to work in this industry during the time I have and that I was attached to projects that really changed my life. I had such a pleasure to do them. Having it came to me – it is my greatest thing to this day – it is not that I have never seen it for myself, but I almost thought it was something just unimaginable. Be in a Jurassic Film is like a dream. I’m still waiting to be awake.
You receive this call and you do not think it is the real call. I’m still waiting for it to simmer in my brain because it’s just incredible. I guess if I had to close my eyes, look and see what would happen, it’s not that I wouldn’t see that, but it was unimaginable. Now that it has happened, it’s even crazier.
Are you someone who takes roles as they come, or do you have certain steps that you are looking to take at certain times?
I’m just excited to be here. [I’m] Just excited to work in this industry, whatever the scale. It could be your Jurassic Blockbuster, it could be a guerrilla style shoot for four days with a camera guy. It doesn’t matter. If I create, and if I continue to circulate my juice in this way and continue to work on my job … I am just excited for the opportunity. I think everything that happens to me will come. If it is something that I am intrigued and something that resonates and is seated with me, then 100%, I will take advantage of it to do anything on a set for sure. But then on the other hand, when these other projects come, it’s like [you] jump [them]. It is a situation of reflux and flow but excited. Period.
This is obviously a busy period for you with several first and the film that comes out. What does personal care look like for you?
You can hear my persistent press disease that occurs right now. (Laughter.) Everything is fun. The stress of doing 6 am to this to go to the first and go to this and do this and do the day of the press; It’s like there was so much, but you have to have fun. Because if you don’t do it, you’re just going to stress yourself even more. I think for myself, remembering to stay light, to remain positive. You are tired, but all of this is part of the work and you just have to do your job. That’s it. It’s still going. You still work. The film is not yet finished. It’s not over yet.
For me, especially during last week that I had – jump from three different countries and do a first and return here and go to New York and do it all – I had to take at least 20 to 30 minutes at the start of my day to breathe, to establish my intentions, to simply center myself. [I will] Repeat the strong words in my mind that will simply continue to keep my brain positive. I think that if I am lucky to be in a hotel that has a spa, I will go to the sauna and I will steam [room]And I will meditate for a second. I certainly took advantage of my spa privileges during this press race.
As you said, this is the biggest project you have ever carried out. What would you hope to do next? Where is your head?
The real percentage of actors working in this industry is so small, so small. For me, Luna, if I am in this percentage, I want to do anything. I just want to have the opportunity to be on a set and do what I like, no matter what it is. Having just this young excitement is so refreshing, and it’s so pleasant to have. I can’t write what I want to do next. It is not yet something I know. All that happens right now is super exciting, and I’m in everything. Honestly, it’s just [me] While waiting to see what really goes up and what clicks. Anyway, it will be the next opportunity that I am so incredible the chance to have.
I think I want to do something that will make me work even harder, something I can fully invest my time and my energy [into] And create a character. Because it’s so crazy for actors too. You spend so much time in a role, you have to let go. Even after all the press and after all, you are like, ok, on the next one, let’s move on. That’s it. To be able to really immerse myself in another character and do something that is simply different from everything I have ever done before, which Jurassic was for me at the time … I think that is exactly what is exciting for me, to be able to do something that I have not done, something new and something that is exciting for me in my life.
How do you want people to consider you an artist?
I think the no. 1 thing with the actors on which I am personally deactivated is that you watch their films and you get this sense of light and you get this meaning of the character. Obviously, they play something else, but you look at the interviews and you look at everything else and you say to yourself: “Oh, it is not who you are.” I think it’s the worst. This is the last thing I would like to happen. I want people to see me. I hope you saw me talk to me, I’m delighted to be here. I am delighted to have this opportunity. I worked hard and I’m not going to stop working hard. I want people to see that. I want people to know that I am nowhere near the place where I want to go to my vision of life.
I have the same visions for so long, and I will continue to try to work and do it. I want people to see the work hard. I want people to know. I also want people to know that it is not my first rodeo that I made. I have been doing this for a while, and I want it to come off when people see me. I want people to know that it is not just a walk in the park and that you have to be a hard worker to be able to arrive here. Nothing was given to me that way. I just want people to see it’s something I really like, really doing, and I didn’t give anything right away. I did the work and continue to do the work – and if you don’t see that, then it’s on you.
