Mint Mobile launches 5G home internet service – 415 Mbps MINTernet plans start at just $30 per month for unlimited data

Several cell phone providers have jumped on the 5G home internet service bandwagon, with T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon offering service in parts of the United States. Now, a new player is entering the fray: Mint Mobile. Mint Mobile is a subsidiary of T-Mobile, known in this segment, and its new service is called MINTernet.

Not surprisingly, MINTernet runs on T-Mobile’s nationwide wireless network, offering unlimited 5G service. Now, whenever unlimited data is mentioned in the 5G realm, you should always read the fine print. In this case, Mint Mobile says that once you consume more than 1TB of data during your billing cycle, “network speeds vary and may be reduced.” This is similar to T-Mobile Home’s Internet policy, where the restriction is implemented after exceeding the 1.2TB threshold.
