Minor Nor’easter to knock in New York before the Memorial Day weekend

A minor at the end of the season, Nor’easter arrived in New York on Wednesday afternoon, bringing disturbing rain and cooler temperatures in the city just before the Memorial Day weekend.
The storm was to bring 1.3 inches of rain to the five arrondissements from Wednesday afternoon to Friday morning, according to National Weather Service.
“I hope you enjoyed the last days of quite beautiful time,” wrote the office of Mount Holly, NJ of meteorological service on social networks. “A Nor’easter will affect the region in the coming days, with 1-2 inches of rain, cold temperatures and gusty winds.”
Aasters are characterized by their strong northeast winds and often bring wind, rain and cold temperatures in the New England region. They are most often seen between September and April; A Nor’easter at the end of May is quite rare.
Temperatures in Manhattan were to stay in the mid -1950s Wednesday and Thursday, according to meteorologists. They should increase regularly on weekends, reaching the 1970s low Sunday afternoon.
Perhaps even more important for people hoping to take advantage of the three-day weekend, the chances of precipitation will remain below 20% on Saturday and Sunday, predicted the National Weather Service.
In addition, city winds should only reach 15-20 mph, but beaches in the coastal areas of Long Island could see gusts up to 50 MPH, advised experts.
While New York should only expect to see a few centimeters of rain, cooler temperatures and a decent wind, meteorologists predict that the Nor’easter will bring more mean to the regions more north of New England. The accumulation of snow is possible above 1,500 feet through Maine and New Hampshire, the NWS warned.
In addition, the system should linger longer, the rain continues on Saturday and Sunday before finally eliminating entirely from the region on Monday.
