Millie Bobby Brown attacks ‘Stranger Things’ red carpet photographer

As Millie Bobby Brown says goodbye to Stranger Thingsshe’s come a long way from the 12-year-old who broke out in season 1 of the Netflix series in 2016.

The 2x Emmy nominee responded to a red carpet photographer who apparently told her to smile as she attended the London premiere of the fifth and final season on Thursday at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square.

“Smile? You’re smiling!” Brown said in a viral clip before taking to the mat.

In March, Brown spoke about growing up “under public scrutiny,” calling out reporters who previously attacked her appearance. “This is not journalism. This is bullying,” she said in a video at the time.

“The fact that adult writers spend their time dissecting my face, my body, my choices is disturbing,” Brown added in part. “Disillusioned people can’t stand to see a girl become a woman, on her terms and not theirs. I refuse to apologize for growing up.”

Brown stars inside Stranger Things as the psychically-powered Eleven who escapes from Hawkins National Laboratory in Season 1, where she was subjected to experiments with the Upside Down.

Season 5 continues in the fall of 1987. Hawkins is marked by the opening of the Rifts, with the characters united by a single goal: to find and kill Vecna. But he has disappeared – his whereabouts and his plans are unknown. To complicate their mission, the government placed the city under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, a heavy, familiar terror also approaches. The final battle approaches – and with it, a darkness more powerful and deadlier than anything they have faced before. To end this nightmare, they will need everyone – the entire group – to stand together, one last time.

The highly anticipated fifth and final season will release on Netflix across three premiere dates with Volume 1 on November 26 (four episodes), Volume 2 on Christmas (three episodes), and The Finale on New Year’s Eve. Each volume releases at 5 p.m. PT.
