Big brother Host Julie Chen today remembered Mickey Lee, a contestant on the show last summer, who died last night following a series of cardiac arrests.
In her post, Chen appears to reveal a detail about Lee’s health that may have played a role in her death: she was born with a hole in her heart.
On December 22, a GoFundMe page was posted asking for funds to help Lee defer medical treatment costs.
“Mickey recently suffered a series of cardiac arrests and is now in intensive care in critical but stable condition,” the post read. These incidents followed Lee’s bout with the flu.
Chen also revealed that “as an adult, she survived an ATV accident that should have killed her.”
