Mexican grill chipotle Wednesday, reduced its forecast for sales growth at comparable stores this year after traffic has decreased for a second consecutive quarter.
The Burrito chain now provides flat sales growth at comparable stores for 2025, against its previous projection of an increase in low -digit percentage. Chipotle reduced its prospects for sales with comparable stores for the second consecutive quarter.
The actions of the company fell 7% in prolonged exchanges.
Here is what the company pointed out for its second quarter compared to what Wall Street was waiting, on the basis of a survey of LSEG analysts:
- Profit per share: 33 cents adjusted, in accordance with expectations

Net sales of chipotle increased by 3% to 3.06 billion dollars, thanks to its new restaurants. During the call for the results of the company’s first quarter, CEO Scott Boatwright said that the concerns of the guests about the economy had led them to ignore the restaurant visits and save their money instead.
Chipotle declared a net profit in the second quarter of $ 436.1 million, or 32 cents per share, against $ 455.7 million, or 33 cents per share, a year earlier.
By excluding depreciation costs, legal costs and other articles, the company has won 33 cents per share.
Chipotle reiterated his forecasts according to which he would open between 315 and 345 new restaurants this year.
