Meta And Essilorluxotica On Friday, unveiled a new range of Oakley intelligent glasses which include the artificial intelligence assistant of the social media society.
The Oakley Meta HSTN, as the glasses are known, is the last product from a multi -year partnership between the two companies.
HSTN smart glasses – which are pronounced like Stun – are launched to athletes and have a starting price of $ 399. The glasses represent the first extension of Meta and Luxottica of their intelligent glasses beyond the brand Ray-Ban.
The companies published their first set of smart glasses in 2021, and they found a surprise success in the second generation of the aircraft, which made its debut in 2023.
CNBC reported Tuesday that Meta planned to publish versions of her smart glasses under the Oakley and Prada brands. It is not known when the Prada agreement of Meta and the resulting range of products will be announced.
Meta said her latest smart glasses contain the so-called Oakley PRIZM objective technology, which are designed to help athletes see better “through the conditions of light and time”. The Oakley Meta HSTN has a longer battery life and an improved camera compared to the second generation Ray-Ban meta-ban, which has a starting price of $ 299.
Like Ray-Ban Meta glasses, HSTN glasses use the Meta AI digital assistant and a corresponding smartphone application so that users can ask the weather for the aircraft to record videos of their activities.
Some of the various combinations of Oakley Meta HSTN image colors include a gray variant with red lenses and a black model with black lenses. The gadget is also water resistant, companies said.
A limited edition version of HSTN glasses with lenses and gold accents will cost $ 499 and will be available to pre -order on July 11. The Oakley Meta HSTN Standard will be sold later this summer.
Other technological companies such as Alphabet And Instant Also develop smart glasses. In May, Alphabet announced a $ 150 million partnership with Warby Parker To develop smart glasses that are based on the Gemini AI assistant from Google, while Snap this month said that it would reveal its intelligent augmented reality glasses of sixth generation next year.
