Dynamic Duo discloses Concept Art reveals new taken on Dick Grayson, Jason Todd and Batman

Last October, the news announced that DC Studios joins Swaybox Studios for Dynamic duoA film mixing animation with puppets, which revolves around Robin and Robin: Dick Grayson and Jason Todd.
The professions have reported that history will explore how Grayson and Todd’s friendship when young people will become tested by their divergent ideas for their future (reports that the characters will start while a pair of thieves have been quickly demystified).
The perspective of the two Robins who associate themselves in their youth is strange. In the comics, Dick was the first to hold this coat before leaving the Batman team to become Nightwing. He was taken as a district of Bruce Wayne after his parents, Acrobates the flying grays, were killed by gangsters.
As for Jason, Batman found him trying to fly one of Batmobile’s wheels and took the boy under his wing. Jason was never the obedient son Dick and ended up being killed by the Joker. However, he would later resuscitate deaths as a violent vigilance cap. They have never been Robin at the same time.
The conceptual art of the film seems to have disclosed online today, presenting the costume conceptions for the Robins. Dick looks like the classic Robin that we are expecting, while Jason has undergone a somewhat punk inspired overhaul which, thematically, has similarities with its possible disguise of the red hood.
We also see a very stylized Batman standing in the doorway of the Dick and Jason shared room, and a photo of Gotham City and Wayne Enterprises with the duo now in their Nightwing and Red Hood shapes. Jason can still be Robin in this one (it’s difficult to say), but if he is Red Hood, we imagine that this film will shine on his death and his resurrection.
Visually, Dyanamic duo seems unique and has a chance to be the DC version of Spider-man: in the spider.
Dynamic duoPlace in the wider DCU is not clear. Earlier this year, the CO-PDGs of DC Studios James Gunn suggested that there could be a way to make animated film “Canon” somewhere on the line.
“There could be a way to integrate into the DCU,” He teased. “I would like this animated puppet film to be part of the DCU. It is really attractive for me, but the story is unique, and therefore it may not work in our universe.”
Arthur Mintz directs Dynamic Duo, while Matthew Aldrich (Coconut) wrote the script. Swaybox Studios uses an innovative “Momo animation” that mixes CGI, practical stop-motion elements and live performance to create a new style of animation very different from what we are used to seeing on the screen.
Dynamic Duo is expected to go out in theaters on June 30, 2028.
