Men armed from the cartel in Mexico use a new tactic to hide the police attacks — false accidents
Men armed with the cartel used a tilting dump truck to hide an attack on state police by moving the vehicle at high speed directly in a armored police truck with five police officers inside. The accident killed two officers and injured three others.
The attack took place this week in the border town of Nuevo Laredo, where men armed with the faction of the Los Zetas cartel del noreste used a tilting truck for Diamler a police vehicle at high speed. The impact killed two police officers and injured three others, including a police commander who had been the target of previous attacks.
After the accident, the authorities arrested Alfredo Martinez Gomez, who was identified as the driver of the dump truck and is currently the subject of an investigation for the attack.

Tactics allows the CDN-Los Zetas to disguise the attack as a car accident, thus avoiding direct connection. Local media reported on the case as a simple car accident.
The CDN-Los Zetas used this same tactic in June when they also used a semi-trailer to wander another police vehicle, injuring two police officers.

The target of the most recent attack was Luis Angel Penaflor Camey, a regional commander of the Tamaulipas state police who had led a series of operations against CDN-Los Zetas in Nuevo Laredo. Because of its operations, CDN-Los Zetas had previously tried to kill it in May by pulling in a small seafood restaurant while it was eating inside with other officers. In this attack, the armed men injured two officers and three innocent passers -by. At the time, CDN-Los Zetas used social media to accuse Penaflor of having helped a rival cartel.
