Megan Thee Stallion Rejected ‘Call of Duty’ Collaboration Because…
Megan Thee Stallion would have refused a collaboration with Call of Duty due to PTSD he was diagnosed with after being shot by Tory Lanez.
This diagnosis and her general mental health appear to be the reasons why she refused to collaborate with the popular video game franchise.
On Wednesday (November 19), Daniel Kinney, senior vice president of brand and strategic partnerships at Roc Nation, testified at Meg’s defamation trial against blogger Milagro Gramz, where he talked about collaboration opportunities that never came to fruition for Houston Hottie.
According to journalist Meghann Cuniff, Kinney said that Megan “gave up on Call of Duty when she learned she would be a character that could be shot in the game.”
In a follow-up article on Cuniff’s X, Kinney was quoted as saying that the offer “triggered her and she completely said ‘I’m not doing that’.”
According to TMZThe 30-year-old entered an intensive medical program after Lanez shot her in 2020. Called dialectical behavior therapy, she said the treatment helped her deal with her trauma and cost about $240,000.
According to the outlet, Megan’s lawyers have gone on record as saying that she was diagnosed with PTSD and that the doctor who diagnosed her was Dr. Lenore Walker..
Megan sued Gramz last October for defamation and accused her of waging a “campaign of harassment and cyberbullying” in connection with Lanez’s shooting conviction. Good news rapper.
Last week, Lanez and his attorney, Crystal Morgan, were arrested for contempt of court and fined $20,000 after refusing to answer questions during a deposition in Megan’s case against Gramz.
Lanez asked what penalties he would face if he didn’t answer any questions, and once he found out he could be held in contempt of court, disciplined, and sentenced to additional jail time, Lanez responded, “Whatever the fines are, I’ll pay them. I’m a millionaire. I don’t care.”
After Lanez told Megan’s lawyers to “calm down” and “relax” and then called them “liars,” he left the room to end the deposition, alleging that he was not first shown all of the exhibits that Megan’s team intended to use during the deposition.
Lanez eventually came back into the room, got angry at Megan’s lawyer, then walked away making derogatory comments to them and refusing to return to the deposition afterward.
