Meg Stalter’s reign of terror won the end of the night this week

First, an old business. Last week, I forgot to mention one of the features of the end of the night that we would lose if it disappeared completely. In many ways, the host helping the starlets to sail the stage in their heels and it is the last bastion of chivalry. Example: Stephen Colbert escorted Molly Gordon to his headquarters on Wednesday evening. Very gallant.
Second, I want to congratulate Josh Johnson for taking office time this week The Daily Show. It was Johnson’s first week as a big host in charge, and there was a joke his first night which really released the public. They dropped. It was wonderful to see him lose them, then recover them with the next part of the bit.
And finally, I must be a real crumbum and warn the guests of The late show. This week, we can allow all the routines “Stephen, you are a hero and everything you do is perfect and you are sheltered from the balls and your thigh is in solid gold like Pythagoras” of each guest, because the Late show The cancellation news is always fresh. But we cannot have ten months to come to Bury Caesar. (PS: It’s not a hyperbole; Sandra Oh really quoted Shakespeare this week about Colbert’s cancellation.) One more week, then we let the man do his job without applause. It is good in this area! It is sort of the point. Let these people cook.
Robert Klein was sitting on the Tonight show Couch for the 89th time this week. Unless some of them are stand-up sets where Johnny did not ask him. If you like the old showbiz (and if you look late at night in 2025 and you don’t like the old showbiz, ask for help), it was great. And if you want someone to explain what the Borscht belt is for zoomers, it was even better. Personally, I would like to look at the skating act of the rolls of Tanya and Lanya of Lithuania.
If you don’t know Caissie St. Onge, Frickin ‘get to know her. St. Ongge helped to formulate Best week of all time, WHL, And Busy tonight. She followed the occupied Philipps of E! to QVC + on Occupied this weekWhere Cat Show mixes with shopping at home and everything remains very and profitable. But his first concert was on The late show. David Letterman went through Occupied this week To talk about a store with a former colleague, and it was good to get them Late show Reminiscences in these difficult times. And it was a good intel for anyone hoped to have experienced a conversation with Letterman. Tip: Do not mention Madonna.
Adam Sandler / Netflix was very smart by sending Bad Bunny to promote HAPPY GILMORE 2. The guy is a delight. He continued Late at night With Sandler and they had a total lovefest. But it was his time to stylize Colbert on The late show It was wonderful Benitocore. He is one of the most charming guys on the market (look at his MET GALA GRWM from 2024 if you need more convincing), and to offer Colbert dazzled sunglasses brown this reputation.
No one said that exclusive news had to be good. Mary Beth Barone shared on Late at night that she had been thrown. She even mentioned it on her podcast because she wanted exclusive news for Seth Meyers. Would be Over -compulsory Season two is better exclusivity? Of course, but it’s still juicy. Barone made the stand-up on the evening of the evening before, but it was an excellent introduction to its entire agreement for people who prefer seated equipment. Beautiful dress, good joke and throwing the host for a real loop. Good things.
Speaking of the introduction of America to all his agreement, Meg Stalter was on one during the Too much Press Tour. Last week, she was Colbert’s last guest – or at least the last guest before starting to think about the end of the show. The Youtube / Instagram comment was confused, but those who were already connected to Stalter’s jazz were lol-on. This week, she frightened Andy Cohen’s shit, then proclaimed that she knew how to read during the After the show. Tracee Ellis Ross was the rest of the world, cackling and looking at Stalter to detach. This is what live television is, friends.
