Mbeumo will need time to adapt to the Amorim system, says Bassong

Sébastien Bassong thinks that Bryan Mbeumo would need time to adapt to the favorite training of Ruben Amorim 3-4-3 if he joins Manchester United.
Mbeumo is about to move to Old Trafford with United and Brentford working on the finest details of a decision of 60 million pounds sterling.
The 25 -year -old has shone for Brentford since he joined the Troyes bees in 2019, but did it in a mainly wide good position.
Amorim prefers to play with the back of the wings and two creative fields playing more centrally behind a new number.
This means that Mbeumo will have to adapt, but his colleague Cameroon Bassong is convinced that he has us to do it.
Bassong has told BBC World Service sport today: “Its main asset is the IQ of football. The way he moves in spaces means that he can get out of situations, by problem. He is not a stubborn player who meets people, so that’s what makes him so unpredictable and difficult.
“It is fast – but when I say quickly, I mean the way it moves. He is still in motion and he is very resilient to go and hurt people. This is what makes him a very, very dangerous player.
“For me, I see Mbeumo really on the wing because he needs space. I don’t see him being cramped in the middle of the traffic, in the middle of the park, which would be the case if he played behind the attacker.”
Patience may be necessary
Bassong warned United Fans that it may not be an instant adaptation, however, adding: “I do not see it holding this system from the start, but, on the other hand, he is a very intelligent player and Ruben Amorim is a very avant-garde coach. So, if he is really interesting of him, he knows exactly where he wants him to be in his system.
“I think they would have had some conversations. So if it goes, they will both make it work. ”
