Mbappé in France Squad despite an injury, Valverde for Uruguay

Kylian Mbappé will join France for the international break despite an ankle sprain in the Real Madrid match with Villarreal on Saturday, Federico Valverde will not travel with Uruguay.
Mbappé will now be evaluated by French medical staff after picking up the sweet sprain during the 3-1 Laliga victory at Santiago Bernabéu.
They will decide whether the captain of the national team should stay in the French team or return to Madrid to continue his recovery in Valdebebas.
Franco Mastanuono also underwent minor tension at the hamstrings in the Villarreal match, sources said, but the great player will also join Argentina for evaluation.
However, Valverde will remain in Madrid during the international break rather than joining Uruguay, thanks to an agreement with the coach of the national team Marcelo Bielsa.
The midfielder had a difficult week, being forced to publish a denying declaration that he had never refused to play out of position for Madrid, before being chosen at the right back against Villarreal.
Mbappé scored the third goal in the 81st minute of the 3-1 victory from Madrid to Bernabéu, then was replaced two minutes later after suffering a sprain from the ankle.

“Right now, he has a little discomfort,” said coach Xabi Alonso on Saturday. “They will have to assess it with the national team. We hope that it does not matter, but for the moment, we cannot say anything.”
Mbappé’s goal against Villarreal has made nine consecutive games for a score for the club and the country, for the first time in his career.
France plays Azerbaijan on Friday, then Iceland on October 13.
Meanwhile, Mastanuno – who had an impressive start for his Madrid career – is in the Argentine team to play friendly matches against Venezuela and Puerto Rico in the United States.
A number of other Madrid players – Dean Huijsen, Thibaut Courtois, David Alaba, Vinícius Junior, Éder Militão, Rodrygo Goes, Eduardo Camiving, Arda Güler, Brahim Díaz and Gonzalo García – are also outside the week this week.
Jude Bellingham – who was excluded from the England team – Aurélin Tchouameni, Fran García, Álvaro Carreras, Raúl Asencio, Andriy Lunin, Endrick and Valverde will stay in Madrid to train in Valdebebas.
