Max Verstappen reveals the only name he has ever given to one of his F1 cars

Max Verstappen revealed the name of one of its most dominant F1 cars, the Red Bull Challenger 2023, RB19. Speaking, the Dutchman revealed that he had named it “Rocky”.

Verstappen appreciated the most dominant season in Formula 1 in 2023 with the RB19 when he won 19 races – most of them by a pilot during a calendar year. In addition to that, he also claimed the most consecutive podiums (18), the most consecutive (10) and most of the consecutive victories (10) that year.

Verstappen also won the championship, having double the points of the pilot in P2. He claimed 575 points, while his teammate, Sergio Perez, who finished in P2 succeeded 285 points. While the Dutch driver had a season like never before, he spoke of the car that earned him invaluable distinctions.

In a recent interview with Ford Performance, Verstappen, speaking of his cars, said:

“My cars are always an Il, even my F1 cars. It’s not an Elle. It’s an IL.”

Responding to this, the interviewer asked:

“Does that have a name?”

Answering the question, Verstappen said:

“I only named my 2023 car, I called him Rocky. I think he deserved it.”

Verstappen then defended its title 2023 with the car 2024, the RB20. That year, the Dutchman won nine victories, eight pole posts and seized 14 podiums. He finished in front of Lando Norris 63 points.

Max Verstappen qualified in P9 in Miami and ran against his teammate, Sergio Perez, who looked like a championship candidate against him. However, the Dutchman came from behind and came out victorious.

Verstappen then appointed his home race, Zandvoort as one of his special races. The quadruple world champion, then appointed the Suzuka circuit race in Japan, which came after the debacle in Singapore, the only race where Red Bull failed to win.
