Mavericks-Pelicans final injury report, will Cooper Flagg and Klay Thompson play?
The Dallas Mavericks are on the road Monday night as they take on the New Orleans Pelicans in a Western Conference matchup.
Dallas enters Monday’s game with an 11-18 record after losing on the road to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.

In Saturday’s loss to the 76ers, Anthony Davis led the way for the Mavericks by recording 24 points and 15 rebounds while Cooper Flagg added 24 points and four rebounds.
Dallas will now look to bounce back on Monday night as they face a struggling Pelicans team on the road.
On the other side, New Orleans enters Monday’s contest with a 7-22 record after beating the Indiana Pacers at home on Saturday night.

Zion Williamson led the way for the Pelicans in Saturday’s win by finishing the game with 29 points and seven rebounds coming off the bench while Derik Queen recorded 17 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.

As both teams look to secure a victory in Monday night’s matchup, both teams could be without some of their key players due to injuries.
Mavericks Injury Report, Will Cooper Flagg and Klay Thompson Play?
For the Mavericks, six players are listed on their injury report, including Flagg and Klay Thompson.

Dallas listed Flagg as questionable due to a back contusion and he is likely to miss his second game of the season.
If Flagg is sidelined against the Pelicans, Naji Marshall and Caleb Martin could be in line for larger roles.

The Mavericks also listed Thompson as questionable due to left knee soreness and while he was able to play through his injury Saturday against the 76ers, Dallas could opt to sit him against the Pelicans.

If that’s the case, Jaden Hardy could have a bigger role, especially since Max Christie is also listed as questionable due to illness.
Dante Exum and Kyrie Irving have both been ruled out as they continue to be sidelined as they recover from injuries.

Pelicans Injury Report, Will Herb Jones Play?
On the other hand, the Pelicans only have two players listed on their injury report, including forward Herb Jones.

New Orleans listed Jones as questionable due to a migraine that caused him to leave Saturday’s win over the Pacers just before halftime after being shot in the face.
If Jones is sidelined, Jordan Poole and Jeremiah Fears could both be in line for larger roles for the Pelicans.

The Pelicans have ruled out Dejounte Murray as he continues to be sidelined while recovering from a torn Achilles.
