Matthew Tkachuk makes his feelings known to the Oilers in the consecutive final of the Stanley Cup

Florida Tkachuk Florida Panthers striker made his feelings known to the EDMONTON Oilers during the revenge of the Stanley Cup last spring.

Tkachuk, quoted by NHL.com, said how much the return to the Stanley Cup final was in his mind all year round. He said:

“You think of this moment to come back with a chance to compete again for the Stanley Cup. And we are the two lucky teams who can do it. I mean that it is so difficult too, and very few players are able to have a chance, even if you would have asked both in the middle of the summer if we have a chance to play for the Stanley Cup again, we have to sign this document.”

Matthew Tkachuk’s comments highlight his level of competitiveness and how much he savor the opportunity to play for another championship.

But with regard to Edmonton’s Oilers, Tkachuk does not take the situation lightly. He said:

“It’s here. It’s an incredible team. It’s going to be a great battle. They are, I’m sure, that the bit to get another chance.”

The Panthers had an advance in the 3-0 series before the Oilers returned to force a match 7 last spring. The oilers almost succeeded in the return of the miracle, falling just below the last match.

Given the experience of last year, Tkachuk knew they would face the oilers if they returned to the final of the Stanley Cup. Despite familiar faces that lock the horns, Tkachuk believes that newcomers could be the factor that decides the series.

He concluded:

“It is a revenge match, and there are a lot of similar faces, but there is fresh blood on both sides which will be very hungry and be manufacturers of difference in this series.”

The washer will fall on match 1 of the Stanley 2025 Cup final on Wednesday evening with the Panthers and Oilers who look forward to demanding the first lead in the series.

Matthew Tkachuk began his career with the Flames de Calgary. It was the choice of flames in the first round in 2016, took sixth in the general classification.

He played six seasons with the flames before being exchanged at the Florida Panthers in 2022. This business, as Tkachuk pointed out, changed his life.

Tkachuk told NHL.com:

“I think that my life has changed, obviously, when I was exchanged here and everything was – it was incredible before when I played Calgary, and it was a whole different beast here with things that happened. Hoping to check another box here in a few weeks.”

This box means another Stanley Cup.

If it is not for trade towards Florida, Tkachuk might not have had the opportunity to compete for one in Calgary.

Consequently, Tkachuk considers himself lucky to be in the position in which he is. He said:

“I have the impression that I am not even halfway through my career and I was lucky with so many great things that have happened and have been blessed.”

If everything is going well for Matthew Tkachuk and the Panthers, they will be consecutive champions of the Stanley Cup, a feat accomplished only a handful of times in the history of the NHL.

Panthers will count on the 27 -year -old to do his part to lead his team to victory against a powerful Edmonton club which is also ready to rewrite the history of the NHL.
