Real detective Creator Nic PizzoLto has an idea for the franchise that would return it to his roots.
During a recent appearance on the Nothing left Podcast, Pizzolatto revealed that he had an idea for a “story” that would take up the characters of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson of the first season of the criminal drama. In particular, the two stars led the first season of Real detective Before the series features a new batch of actors in each following episode.
“I actually have another story for Cohle and Hart who, who knows, maybe we will one day,” he said, adding that even if he did not put a pen on the idea, they had conversations “to recover and do it” and McConaughey and Harrelson “are open.”
“This is not something I wrote or anything, it’s just in my head, and we talked about recovering and doing it,” he added. “I think guys are open there, it’s just a question whether it would happen or not.”
