Daredevil: Born Again The end of season 1 saw Fisk further solidify his control over New York City after being elected mayor. Matthew Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) now unites with his allies and assembles his own army to retake the city from Fisk.

Check out Winderbaum’s additional comments below:
The story is about power. When Wilson Fisk takes power in New York, not only as mayor but also as a king in a way, it places him in a new class of powerful actors on the international stage. Matthew Lillard’s character represents this.
But he is as influential, in many ways, as Fisk. These power negotiations at a very high international political and diplomatic level are also fun to watch. [Fisk] dealing with Mr. Charles here and Daredevil [Charlie Cox] here for different reasons. So he’s in a bit of a hurry.
