Matheus cunha “ privileged ” to take the n ° 10 shirt from Marcus Rashford after Manchester United Move
Matheus Cunha described that he received the legendary 10s of Manchester United shirt as a “privilege” after his large -sized move to Old Trafford.
The Brazilian midfielder, who joined United of Wolves last month in an agreement of 62.5 million pounds sterling, obtained his new shirt after having linked to the team for the training of pre-season this week.
He ripped off the emblematic number far from Marcus Rashford, who is also back in Carrington, but seems to be moving away from Manchester this summer.
Rashford had a fall with head coach Ruben Amorim during the 2024-25 season and was sent on loan to Aston Villa.
He looks incredibly difficult for the English international to make his return for the club in which he grew up, so Cunha given his shirt.
Addressing the club’s official site, the 26 -year -old shared his excitement and his appreciation of having received one of the most prestigious figures in football.
“Yeah, Wow! This is something you always dream of,” said Cunha.

“I can mention many players who use this shirt. It’s so easy for me. Of course, I think that the one I always think of when I see this number in this shirt for me was Wayne Rooney.
“It was someone I grew up to watch play and I have (watched) many games now. Then I exchanged shirts with Marcus (Rashford, after a match) too. I have his shirt at home. But, of course, we know that many players used this shirt-Van Nistelrooy, Ibrahimovic,” he added.
“It is the dream not only to use the shirt, but with all the story they have around the number, it is something beautiful that I have the privilege of doing.”
Cunha is no stranger to the number, having brought him to Wolves during his most prolific season to date, where he has scored 15 goals in the Premier League. However, he recognized that bringing it to Manchester United has a new level of waiting.
“It is the most important,” he said.
“I do not know, with each issue, it will be a pleasure to use the shirt. But, yes, with it, it is something different. Then, of course, the responsibility arrives and I hope that I can do just like objectives, decisive passes and help the team. It is therefore a very important point for my position.”
