Mason Thames is delighted to have “missed” you Costar McKenna Grace: “So special” (Exclusive)
“We might have something planned,” Thames exclusively told TooFab of their shared Halloween costume after playing four different characters in 2024, including Shaggy and Daphne from Scooby Doo.
Mason Thames has officially entered the cinematic era of its coming of age.
Walking the carpet for his new movie Regret youthe 18 year old shared with TropFab exclusively what it meant to transition into this new phase of his career.
“I always wanted to make a movie like this,” said the actor, who grew up in Hollywood and appeared in films such as The black phone, Incoming And How to train your dragon.
In Regret youThames plays Miller Adams, the good-hearted kid from the wrong side of the tracks who sparks romantic interest. McKenna Grace’s Clara Morgan in Colleen Hoover’s story of family, first love, heartbreak and betrayal.
Much like her co-star – and rumored real-life partner – Grace has an impressive IMDB database in Hollywood at just 19 years old and is also transitioning into more adult fare after appearing in Ghost hunters, The Haunting of Hill House, The Handmaid’s Tale And Young Sheldon.
“The fact that I have to do it [Regretting You] with McKenna, it’s so special,” exclaimed Thames. “I couldn’t have asked for a better partner throughout this journey.”
The pair were announced as starring in the film in 2024, before sharing photos of their four different Halloween costumes – including Scooby Doo characters Shaggy and Daphne – later that year. The dating rumors really picked up steam in April 2025, after a TikTok showing them kissing went viral before the film’s release; They have since been seen holding hands in public, fueling further speculation among fans.

As for this year, Thames has apparently confirmed that they will be doing joint costumes again – but he has remained tight-lipped on any hints at what they might be.
“Who knows…” Thames replied shyly. “We might have something planned.”
The Thames is definitely at its highest this week. With his film Regret you which comes out this week, his latest horror film, Black phone 2, had a terrifying $43 million worldwide opening and received rave reviews.
Saturday evening liveby Marcello Hernández even mentioned the film when he brought back his Weekend Update character, The Movie Guy – a movie buff with a pale viewing history – this past weekend. “Oh yeah, Black phone 2. Ring, ring! Good morning? Sorry, you have the wrong number, because I haven’t seen that one yet,” he joked on the Oct. 18 episode.

Thames and Grace star in Regret you Starring Dave Franco, Allison Williams, Scott Eastwood and Willa Fitzgerald, the film hits theaters on Friday, October 24.
