Wolves boss Vitor Pereira faces uncertain future at club

Pressure is mounting on Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Vítor Pereira, with new reports suggesting his position could soon become untenable.

After a string of tough results and growing concern over performance, pundits have said it’s “inevitable” the Wolves will make a change in the dugout if momentum doesn’t change quickly.

For a club whose survival and stability in the Premier League are at stake, the next few weeks could be decisive for Pereira’s future and the direction of the season.

Wolves’ form has dropped alarmingly, and the problems are as much about cohesion as points.

Wolves have had a lot of trouble this season

Supporters’ frustration grew alongside the difficulties on the pitch. Molineux remains a demanding environment and, after several seasons of transition, fans are hungry for a clear identity and progress.

Wolves are winless in eight Premier League games this season and they currently sit bottom of the table.

If they fail to win against Burnley and Fulham, Mick Brown believes Pereira will be sacked by Wolves.

“These games against Burnley and Fulham are must-wins for Wolves,” he told Football Insider.

“The problem is that Fulham and Burnley will be thinking the same thing when playing Wolves, so it will by no means be easy for them.

“Wolves have been really poor this season, and they are starting as most people’s favorites for relegation due to the inconsistency and instability there.

“Questions will be asked of the manager there, because no manager in the world can go eight games without winning and avoid all pressure.

“Of course the players deserve some criticism too, but ultimately that’s on the manager.

“So the two games they have coming up are huge for their season.

“If they manage to get two wins, they will close the gap to their rivals, but if they lose, all of a sudden there will be a huge gap between them.

“That often results in the manager being sacked because something has to change, and if they lose to Burnley at home I think that’s inevitable.”

If results continue to decline, a change before the January window could allow a new manager to evaluate the squad, influence recruitment and quickly implement a plan.

Pereira’s future at Wolves is at a crossroads. On the current trajectory, the pressure to act will only intensify, particularly if performance remains stable and points continue to slip away.

The club’s decision-makers must judge whether the existing project can be salvaged with adjustments or whether a reset is necessary to protect the season.
