Marvel’s post-key scenes have put back the credits stages presented Baron Zemo & Kang

The post-key scene of “Thunderbolts *” is quite difficult to complain: Thunderbolts, now called the new Avengers, are alerted from a “multidimensional spacecraft” entering the orbit of the earth. The characters do not understand the meaning of this, but the public does it – it is the fantastic spacecraft of the four. And unlike other recent post-line sequences that have teased points in the intrigue far in the future, we will probably follow this scene very soon. “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.

But before “Thunderbolts *” had a post-key scene teasing “The Fantastic Four”, there were other plans in place. Eric Pearson, who co-wrote the film, revealed in a recent IGN interview that the original idea of the post-key scene involved teasing another film in the Marvel cinematographic universe. As he said, “I launched together at the start a post-key sequence which was to face Kang.”
“Thunderbolts *”, which was revealed to be in production in 2022, began by assuming that the disturbing villain Kang (Jonathon Majors) would be the new ultra-mcu. However, the production was delayed by the 2023 strikes and complicated by the recognition of the majors of Jonathon, found guilty of several allegations of harassment and aggression. Majors was then dismissed by Disney, and the writers “Thunderbolts *” had to change course. Instead of a post-key sequence focused on the Kang, we had a more relevant on the fantastic Four much discussed.

Another scene from Thunderbolts * Post-Credit could have presented Baron Zemo
Pearson shed light on another idea presented for the post-key sequence, which has teased the return of Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl), who appeared for the first time in “Captain America: Civil War”.
“There was definitely a [post-credits] Tag that I did a million years ago when Zemo is like Keyser Söze, as if he pulled the ropes from the prison in one way or another, “he explained. (For those who do not immediately recognize this name, Söze is the villain of” the usual suspects “, played by Kevin Spacey.) But, as Pearson admitted” What do “Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, Heat of this?” ‘No, not that.’ “”

Although it is quite obvious why a sequence focused on Kang would have been a bad idea, it should be noted that “Thunderbolts *” has the first post-key scene for a long time which is in fact exciting. Most of the recents have desperate, writers throwing anything on the wall and hoping that it would stick. The worst is probably the median scene of the credits of “Doctor Strange and the Multivers of Madness”, which undermines the dark cliffhanger of the film ending to tease the introduction of the new character of Charlize Theron, Clea. (Three years later, we have always never discovered what its agreement was.) Many other recent credits scenes have similar vibrations, introducing random characters and never following them.

We hope that “Thunderbolts *”, on the other hand, could set up a new rule for MCU films: from now on, use only your post-key scenes to tease films that will be certainly Arriving, and will happen soon. Perhaps the post-key scenes “Fantastic Four” will tease “Avengers: Doomsday” in 2026, and perhaps that of “Avengers: Doomsday” will tease the film “Spider-Man” expected shortly after. The post-key sequence in “Thunderbolts *” alludes to a new level of discipline in the MCU. The franchise seems to know that the patience of the public has been slim in recent years, so for the moment, it seems that they only promise what they know that they can deliver.
