Hannah Beachler to receive the Prix Creative of Variety in Scad

The designer of Oscar -winning production Hannah Beachler will be honored with VarietyThe Creative Impact in Production Design Prize at Scad Savannah Film Festival.
Beachler entered history when she became the first African American to bring a trophy back in the production category for her work on “Black Panther”. She was Ryan Coogler’s Go-TO, the two working on “Fruitvale Station”, “Creed” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” together.

Beachler will receive this award during the Scad Savannah Film Festival which will take place from October 25 to November 1.
Presented by the Savannah College of Art and Design, the Scad Savannah Film Festival is filled with cinematographic creativity of award -winning professionals and emerging filmmakers. Each year, more than 63,000 people attend the eight -day festival. Stop distinguished on the Oscar route, the annual festival begins with an opening evening of Gala, while the rest of the week offers planned competition films, first projections, workshops, conferences and panels. These events take place in the historic theaters of Scad and the state -of -the -art studio in the historic city of Savannah, in Georgia.
As previously announced, Jon M. Chu will receive the Vanguard Director Prize and Jennifer Lopez will receive the virtuoso price.
VarietyClayton Davis, editor -in -chief of the Chiefs Awards, will also come back to host the “Pixels and Pencons” panel.
