“One More Day” is undoubtedly the most criticized Spiderman history of all time. Not just because Marvel used it to cancel Peter and MJ’s wedding. Fans would have learned to accept it in due time. What really offended readers was the completely artificial plot delivered by Marvel, in order to achieve the desired end result.

In the timeline RivalsDaredevil originated in, Peter Parker’s deal with Mephisto played out like traditional continuity, but with a huge twist.
It’s unclear exactly what Peter gave up, but Daredevil notes that he dealt with the devil for “saves his marriage and his daughter“, making it an even deeper reference to baby Parker that Marvel wrote into Spiderman in the 1990s. Additionally, Daredevil says that by saying this “hit [Spider-Man] harder than any punch on the battlefield“.
Marvel fans have been wanting “One More Day” to be reversed for years, and now it’s finally happened, but not in the way expected.
