Martha Plpton only looked at “the Goonies” once

This star of “Goonies” has no interest in revisiting the beloved film 40 years later.
During an interview with People published on Tuesday September 2, Martha Plpton revealed why she only saw the classic “Once” adventure film since her first in 1985.
“No. I don’t look at him,” said Plpton, 54, at the exit. “I saw it once, and that’s good.”
“I don’t know what to tell you,” she added, laughing.
However, there is a project that Plpton does not care to return to all these years later.
“A few months ago, I was curious to watch ‘` Parenthood’ ‘, and I did it, “said the actress about the 1989 dramatic in which she played with Steve Martin, Joaquin Phoenix, Keanu Reeves and Dianne Wiest.
“It’s a really charming film,” she noted.
But despite his refusal to see “The Goonies”, Plpton was happy to find his old co-stars at Awesome Con in Washington, DC, earlier this year.
The actress “Raising Hope” attended the annual pop culture agreement in April, and she was joined by goonies colleagues (Mikey), Corey Feldman (Bouche), Kerri Green (Andy), Robert Davi (Jake) and Joe Pantoliano (Francis Fratelli).
Josh Brolin (Brandon), Ke Huy Quan (data) and Jeff Cohen (Chunk) did not make the event.
During the panel, Plpton and the rest of the original distribution confirmed their interest in returning to the “Goonies” suite, which “is currently moving in the right direction” with Steven Spielberg and the original writer Chris Columbus Attaché, according to Deadline.
“I think [fans are] Go see “The Goonies 2”, whether we are or not, “said Plpton, who portrayed Stef in the original, during Awesome Con.” I think it’s quite obvious. At least I hope [they] will.”
Feldman, on the other hand, agreed and declared that he was excited for a potential suite of the “guonies” four decades after the original release.
“We like Steven Spielberg to be engaged and back in the state of mind of the Goonies ”, so it’s exciting for all of us, and whatever happens, we hope it is worth it,” said the star “Stand by me”, 54, at the time.
But the remarks of Plpton and Feldman were a surprise, because the two stars had dispelled a conversation on a suite “Goonies” a few months earlier.
“People, there is no goonies2 script, there is no one” attached “, Spielberg does not direct, it is not real,” wrote the actress “Task” on Instagram in September 2024.
“2’sday, # goonies2 is it real?! Every one asks … I can officially tell you 100% no! I have no information that a suite is in the workx,” added Feldman.
“The Goonies” was directed by Richard Don, who died in 2021 at 91 years old.
Spielberg has created the history of the classic family film, who follows a group of children from the living neighborhood in Astoria, Oregon, who goes on a dangerous adventure to save their neighborhood.
The film has collected an impressive $ 125 million at the world box office, and has since become a classic cult in the past 40 years.
