Spider-Man: A Whole New Day honors the tradition of Tom Holland’s previous Marvel Cinematic Universe trilogy, since an Avenger will participate in the fourth opus. After being absent from the MCU timeline since late 2021, the web crawler is less than a year away from finally being back on the big screen.
While filming is still underway, @UnBoxPHD revealed the first look at Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner from the Spider-Man: A Whole New Day together. Between filming, the MCU veteran was spotted covered in a green coatalongside several crew members.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed on August 1, 2025 that the longtime Marvel Studios star was in talks to join the project. By speaking to AND online On September 4, 2025, Ruffalo commented on his appearance in Spider-Man while keeping him very enigmatic:
Mark Ruffalo: I don’t know, I’m still waiting to hear. I haven’t read a script yet. Well, if that happens, it would be [Laughs] amazing. I grew up with it and it changed my life in the best way. Every time, it’s a new director, a new world, and it’s so exciting. There is nothing else like it. A TV series doesn’t change its universe from one director to another, and that’s what’s exciting.
