Marjorie Taylor Greene criticized for not having read the “ Big Beautiful ” Bill de Trump | Marjorie Taylor Greene

The Brandon Républicain Marjorie Taylor Greene aroused many criticisms of her democratic colleagues for admitting that not only had she not read the taxes and expenses of Donald Trump before voting for that, but that she would have voted against this if she had read in depth.
Greene revealed that she was not aware of a provision in “One Big Beautiful Bill” by Trump (OBBB) which would prevent states from regulating artificial intelligence systems for a decade. The representative of Georgia said that she would have voted against the entire bill if she had known the language of the AI buried on pages 278-279.
“Full transparency, I did not know this section on Pages 278-279 of the OBB which strips the States of the right to make laws or to regulate AI for 10 years”, wrote Greene on X. “I am categorically opposed to this and it is a violation of the rights of the State and I would have voted not if I had known that it was.”
Democratic legislators, who all voted against the bill, responded with disbelief of the admission of Greene.
“You have a job. To. Read. Le Fuck. Bill,” wrote representative Eric Swalwell in response.
The representative Ted Place said he had read the provision of AI in advance and “this is one of the reasons why I voted not on the major GOP bill”, he posted on X. “Pro trick: it is useful to read stuff before voting on it.”
The representative Mark Pocan was further forward: “Read the F ** King Bill instead of applauding for a monkey.
The AI provision was added only two nights before the markup of the bill. It prohibits governments of states and premises to continue “any law or regulation regulating artificial intelligence models, artificial intelligence systems or automated decision -making systems” for 10 years, unless the aim is to facilitate the deployment of these systems.
The language applies largely to facial recognition systems, generative AI and automated decision -making tools used in hiring, housing and public benefits. Several states have already adopted laws creating guarantees around these systems, which could become inapplicable if the bill adopts the Senate.
This also raises questions about the curious case of non-beds of republicans who do not read sprawling legislation on the provisions of the bill.
The Mike Flood representative of Nebraska was hooked by the voters in a stormy town hall last week when he admitted that a provision restricting the ability of federal judges to enforce the orders of contempt was “unknown” when he voted for the same bill. “I will not hide the truth: this provision was unknown to me when I voted for this bill,” Flood told the public, inviting the cries of the voters who replied: “You voted for all this.”
But Greene and Flood are not the only unexpected sources to now disapprove of the aspects of Trump’s “big and beautiful bill”: the richest man in the world and Trump Elon Musk’s ally called the legislation of “disgusting abomination” on Tuesday afternoon.
After promoting the newsletter
“This bill on the spending of the massive, scandalous and pork congress is a disgusting abomination,” wrote Musk, adding that it “would considerably increase the already gigantic budget deficit to 2.5 billions of dollars”.
Democrats have stressed that the bill includes significant reductions in health and social programs, with Medicaid discounts affecting millions of Americans and reductions in food aid programs.
In response to the admission of Greene, the representative Yvette Clarke wrote: “Reading is fundamental!”
The representative Delia Ramirez noted that Greene seemed to have lacked other provisions affecting her voters: “Oh, Marjorie! If you had read the bill, you would also have seen that 149,705 of your voters could lose their Medicaid. ”
The Chamber’s Energy and Trade Committee advanced the reconciliation package last Wednesday. Greene asked that the AI provision be deleted in the Senate, warning that “we have no idea of what AI will be capable in the next 10 years”.
