After yesterday’s big victory with many fireworks on Pittsburgh’s Pirates, the navies are back at the T-Mobile Park for the second game of a three game set. Lines:
Seattle Mariners
Pirates of Pittsburgh
It’s the Bump Day for Luis Castillo. His last time was a decision without a decision in Texas on June 29 during which he abandoned 1 point in 6 rounds while removing 4. Castillo is no stranger to the pirates, having formerly shared a division with them when he played for the Reds. The story of the match is friendly for Luis, with only Isiah Kiner-Falefa, the pirate 9-hole striker this evening, having a constant success against him (5×11, 1 h).
On the offensive side of things, Cal Raleigh defeats third. After his racing match at 2 houses yesterday, he was tied for most of the Home Runs before the Stars break by a Seattle Mariner (35, Ken Griffey Jr.). He is also tied with Mike Piazza for most home races through the first 5 seasons of a recipient of MLB History (128). It is also only the 9th player – and the first recipient – in the history of the MLB to reach more than 35 circuits in 88 team games, and the first to do it since Barry Bond in 2001. In short, Cal can hit baseball.
Randy Arozarena, meanwhile, has become very hot this week. Since Monday, it has been hit. 421 and has launched 5 circuits for 1.611.
In other news, Jorge Polyco hits fifth and is Dhing tonight. It’s his birthday, so no one can be mean to him. He is also seated at 998 career courses, so a pair of blows would be an excellent birthday present for him.
