Mariners, Diamondbacks to break recent funks

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Seattle Mariners are looking to resume their foot when they meet in the opening of a series of three games in Phoenix on Monday.
Each team is in the race that he would like to forget.
Arizona lost 12 out of 17, while Seattle fell 11 out of 17.
The right-hander of the Diamondbacks, Merrill Kelly (6-2, 3.43 ERA), which has 5-1 with an MPM of 2.55 during its last 11 departures, should oppose the right-handed of the Mariners, Emerson Hancock (2-2, 5.19).
The D-Backs are at home after a 3-3 road trip marked by ups and downs. They swept through Atlanta, scoring seven points in ninth round to win the final of the 11-10 series, but they only scored six points in a three-game weekend in Cincinnati.
Between the two, Arizona learned that the right -hander of AS Corbin Burnes will miss the rest of the season after Tommy John surgery.
“We have to find a way to get back, get home and start playing winning baseball and having these winning moments,” said manager Torey Lovullo.
“You enter (Great American Ball Park) and score six points in three games … This is not what I expected. We can be better.”
Seattle was swept away at home by Baltimore, then lost two of the three against the host Los Angeles Angels this weekend. During their recent section, the navies went from 3 1/2 games in the Al West to 2 1/2 games behind Houston.
The navy arrested a sequence of five five-game defeats with a 3-2 victory on Sunday, thanks largely to the career career of George Kirby.
“We needed a big one today,” Kirby said. “I hope it sets us up when we go to Phoenix. I hope we continue to ride. It’s always good when you go out and give your team the best chance of winning after a few defeats.”
The series includes two of the hottest strikers of the majors – the receiver of the Mariners Cal Raleigh and the second second goal player of Diamondbacks, Ketel Marte.
Raleigh leads the majors with 26 circuits and is well in advance on the pace to beat the record of Salvador Perez of 48 circuits by a receiver located in 2021. Only Barry Bonds (twice), Mark McGwire, Albert Pujols and former sailor Ken Griffey Jr. reached 25 circuits in fewer games (64) that Raleigh.
Marte has reached the base in 21 consecutive games and strikes 0.343 with seven of his 12 circuits with 13 products produced, 16 points and 13 balls on its last 18 games.
The Arizona recipient, Gabriel Moreno, missed the last two games in Cincinnati. It was removed in the sixth round on Friday when it was hit in the right hand by a wild land that bounced in dirt.
The navies seemed to dodge a potentially serious injury to the player of the defender of the Julio Rodriguez center, who was withdrawn from the match on Saturday after being struck by the right ankle by a Randy Arozarena lining while he was trying to fly third. Rodriguez started on Sunday.
“He reacted very well with treatment,” said Rodriguez.
Kelly only granted one blow, a single from Ronald Acuna Jr., in seven-sleeves aimlessly during his last departure, a 2-1 victory in Atlanta. He faced the navy once during his seven-year career, abandoning three points in five rounds in one home defeat 4-0 in 2023.
Hancock launched well in his last four departures, going 1-0 with an MPM of 2.91, but he could present a place in the rotation while Logan Gilbert approaches a return. He faced the Diamondbacks once, a 3-2 home victory last season when he abandoned two strokes and one in six rounds.
