Mariners 4-2 Cardinals (Sept. 10, 2025) Recaps of play

Seattle – – Leo Rivas led at the bottom of the 13th round with a two -point circuit and the Seattle Mariners survived St. Louis Cardinals 4-2 Wednesday evening for their fifth consecutive victory.
Seattle finished a three -game scan and remained a match behind Houston at the top of the Al West. The navies led Texas by 1 1/2 games for the Wild Card of the American American League.
Thomas Saggese succeeded four strokes for the cardinals, including a simple RBI which gave them an advantage of 2-1 in the 11th, but Jorge Polaco equaled it with a double score at the top of the lower half.
Rivas entered as a pinch runner for Polanco and progressed towards the third goal before being thrown into the plate on a group while Seattle was wasting an excellent chance of winning.
But in the 13th, Rivas lit a cursor on the first land of the right-hander Ryan Fernandez (0-3) and sent him to the fence of the right field for his second Home Run of major league.
Automatic runner Josh Naylor has also marked the second success of career rivas.
Emerson Hancock (4-5) launched two perfect rounds for victory.
Iván Herrera dominated the first starter of the Mariners Logan Gilbert, who withdrew eight in 4 2/3 rounds.
Seattle equaled 1-All in the second when Naylor scored the first of his three points on the sacrifice fly of Dominic Canzone.
The cardinals could very well have taken the lead in the 10th, but a little herrera base cost them. The automatic runner placed himself at the second goal, Herrera failed to go to the third on a deep flyout on the right field – then was doubled second on a routine fly towards the center, finishing the Channel.
The start of St. Louis Michael McGreevy gave a point and five strokes of six innings.
After a day off, the Cardinals RHP Andre Pallante (6-13, 5.28 ERA) begins Friday evening in Milwaukee against Rhp Quinn Priestter (12-2, 3.25).
The Rhp Bryce Miller (4-5, 5.53 ERA) navy confront the Rhp José Soriano angels (10-10, 4.07) during the opening of a series of four games on Thursday evening.
