Last week, James Gunn announced the title and the release date of the next episode of the Saga of DC Studios, Man of tomorrowAnd the details of the story (some confirmed, other rumors) have been filtering since (you can consult a ventilation of what we know so far here).
We know that David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult will resume their respective roles as Clark Kent / Superman and Lex Luthor, and would be the co-chefs of the film.
Although this has already seemed quite obvious after Jim Lee illustrates, Gunn confirmed that these bitter enemies will put their differences aside and unite their strengths (temporarily, at least) to fight a “much greater threat” during a recent interview with Howard Stern.
“It’s more complicated than that, but it’s a large part of it,” He added. “It is as much a Lex film as a superman film. I loved working with Nicholas Hoult. I relate to the character of Lex, unfortunately. I really wanted to create something extraordinary with both. I love the script so much.”
The prospect of a SUPS / LEX team is undeniably intriguing, and these enemies for life have joined forces in the comics. However, some seem to think that it could be difficult to buy their alliance after the events of Superman, who saw Luthor execute an innocent man in an innocent man in a helpless steel man.
Yes, Lex is a villain and the bad guys do mean things, but will it be credible if Superman is able to put this particular act behind him and coexist with a composure killer? Everything will probably depend on how their dynamics are managed in the film. The vibrations of Buddy Cop Full-On will surely leave a bad taste, but if Luthor’s actions and Clark ‘reaction are at least discussed, it should be easier to accept a temporary partnership for the greater good.

Superman Also put in Rachel Brosnahan star in the role of Lane laws, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as M. Trerific, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho (we would not be surprised if they also come back for Man of tomorrow).
The distribution also includes Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell as “Ma” and “Pa” Kent, and the Supergirl of Milly Alcock made its DCU before its own Tomorrow’s wife movie.
