Manny Pacquiao names greatest fighter of all time: ‘It’s the hardest feat in boxing’

Manny Pacquiao is regularly considered one of the greatest fighters of all time.
The Filipino icon has the honor of being the only eight-division world champion in boxing history, having won his first world title at flyweight.
Further world honors would follow in the super bantamweight, featherweight, super featherweight and lightweight categories, where he was involved in epic battles against Juan Manuel Marquez, Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales.
It was when Pacquiao moved up to 140 pounds and beyond that he established himself as the pound-for-pound number one in the sport, defeating fighters such as Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Shane Mosley en route to becoming world champion from super lightweight to super welterweight.
With all these accolades, it’s clear that many fans consider “PacMan” to be one of the best, with other legendary names such as Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson and Sugar Ray Leonard all often mentioned when talking about the greatest of all time.
Pacquiao himself has now named who he considers the number one of all time, telling World Star that he would actually put himself in that spot.
“I’m not trying to brag, but it’s me, I can say it’s me. Getting a belt in eight different weight divisions is not that simple, it’s very hard. The hardest accomplishment in boxing.”
Pacquiao made a sensational return to the sport at the age of 46 in July, when he fought to a draw with WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios. He has since confirmed he will continue to fight, with a shock rematch against Floyd Mayweather among his potential options.
