Manchester United considered Jose Mourinho as a potential alternative to Ruben Amorim, according to Fichajes.
It would be quite surprising that they decide to move for the 62 -year -old man after having dismissed him in the past in 2018. The Portuguese manager has already led Manchester United, and he guided them to the EFL Cup, the community shield and the victory of the UEFA Europa League.
Jose Mourinho is linked to a shock movement
He is currently unemployed after being dismissed by Fenerbahce in August, and it will be interesting to see if Manchester United decides to bring him back to the club. Things did not go as planned for Amorim, and Manchester United is struggling after a disappointing start to the season.
Despite significant support on the transfer market, Amorim failed to get the most out of his team. The contribution of a quality manager could prove to be a wise decision for Manchester United, but a move for Mourinho may not go well with fans.

Amorim is unlikely to be shown the door immediately, and Manchester United should persist with him for the moment. However, the Portuguese manager is clearly on thin ice. The results will have to improve soon, otherwise it could be shown the door.
As for Mourinho, the opportunity to return to the Premier League could be quite exciting. He won the title of the League three times during his stay in Chelsea, and there is no doubt that he has experience to manage the biggest clubs in the world. However, a return to Old Trafford seems nothing more than rumor at this stage.
