Manchester United considering Conor Gallagher transfer

Manchester United remain keen on signing Conor Gallagher despite Atletico Madrid’s reluctance to sell.
Conor Gallagher’s future has become a huge talking point as he no longer has a leading role at Atletico Madrid under Diego Simeone.
Manchester United are well aware of his situation and, according to a report from Fichajes, Ruben Amorim’s side are interested in acquiring his services as they look to strengthen their squad.
Conor Gallagher faces lack of playing time
While Atletico Madrid are reluctant to part ways with the England international mid-season, Manchester United remain persistent in their pursuit of Gallagher.
The 25-year-old midfielder played a decent role in the team last season, but it seems he has dropped down the pecking order this time around. While the former Chelsea star has featured in 18 matches across all competitions, he has only been on the pitch for 625 minutes.
The lack of regular playing time sparked interest from England. Manchester United are one of the most serious contenders. Amorim sees him as a perfect fit for his system and believes his experience playing in England’s top flight could come in handy.
What would it take to sign Gallagher?

Despite his decreasing role, the Spanish club is reluctant to part with him. They are unlikely to approve a winter loan, and the only way he leaves is if they end up receiving an offer of around €30 million.
Amorim are desperate to have more quality in the center of the park, and given Manchester United’s persistence, they could certainly look to meet Atletico Madrid’s demands. Meanwhile, the player could welcome a move as it would allow him to better make his case for a place in England’s World Cup squad.
