The defender of Barcelona, Ronald Araujo, was linked to the distance from the club this summer.
According to a Fichajes report, Barcelona is open to the sale of the player for costs of around 60 million euros for financial reasons. They seek to collect funds and they also seek to reduce the salary bill.
The 26 -year -old was an exceptional player for the club over the years, and he is very well assessed across Europe. The former Barcelona star, Carles Puyol, previously described him as “extraordinary” player.
Araujo is a better player
There is no doubt that the South American could be an exceptional acquisition for most teams, and the tastes of Manchester United and Chelsea keep an eye on his situation. It will be interesting to see if they decide to take a step for him in the coming months.
The South American is capable of operating as a central defender as well as the great-back. Apart from his defender capacity, he is exceptional with the ball at his feet. His distribution skills could add a new dimension to the Chelsea and Manchester United team.
Chelsea and Manchester United need Ronald Araujo
The two clubs were quite vulnerable on the defensive level last season, and they have to tighten at the back. The signing of the 26 -year -old man could prove to be a wise decision. He is at the top of his powers, and he could be a key actor for them in the future. Chelsea conceded 43 goals in the league last season, and Manchester United conceded 54.
The two clubs have the resources to pay 60 million euros for him. The Uruguayan international is a great talent, and he could justify investment in the future.
The 26 -year -old will want to compete at a high level, and he remains to be seen where he finds himself. Chelsea will be able to offer him football in the Champions League next season.
