Fabrizio Romano spoke to clarify a detail in the transfer saga of Benjamin Sesko while he now chose Manchester United on Newcastle.
Speaking on his Youtube channel, Romano confirmed that Sesko had said yes to Man Utd when an agreement is close to completion.
This is in accordance with what athletics has also pointed out, because Sesko seems to close in Old Trafford.
Interestingly, however, it seems that Romano wanted to emphasize that, despite what some journalists and points of sale claimed in recent days, Sesko has never said yes to Newcastle.
The Magpies may have been eager to land the 22-year-old player, but that does not mean that he was necessarily ready to go while he was waiting to see how things went with United …
Benjamin Sesko never said yes to Newcastle, according to Fabrizio Romano
“Benjamin Sesko has entered into an agreement with Manchester United on personal conditions,” said Romano.
“So, despite all the reports we have had in recent days – and I really respect all the reports – but many of you send me and ask me” but it’s true? “”
“On Saturday, someone said it was done in Newcastle. Then, in recent days, someone has said that he had accepted the conditions with Newcastle. Someone said he was ready to say yes to Newcastle. I can guarantee you that Benjamin Sesko has never given green light to any other club this summer.
“So, the only case where Benjamin Sesko says:” Okay, this contract is correct, this agreement is made “is with Manchester United – Stop Full.
“So Manchester United arrives at an agreement with Benjamin and his agent after the discussions on Tuesday – very, very positive – then this morning, Wednesday morning, after sending the final project, they also obtained the final green paper.
“So contract until June 2030 for Benjamin Sesko.”
Can SESKO solve Man UTD’s problems in advance?

2024/25 | 45 | 21 |
Sesko has not been exactly the most prolific striker in Europe lately, although he is still young and has shown a lot of potential.

United has so far focused on the signing of the first League experienced players this summer, after bringing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford and Matheus Cunha de Wolves.
Sesko could finish a new look of three, but there is more a long-term project than these two players, who may have to enter and hit the ground immediately.
Ruben Amorim will have to hope that Sesko will also be able to adapt quickly because this team will surely be under pressure after such a disastrous campaign of 2024/25, when the club finished 15th in the Premier League table and lost the final of the Europa League.
