Pamela Anderson on Liam Neeson romance

The one where fans had no idea who their favorite was Friends couple In fact had feelings for each other.

During the HBO Max reunion special of the iconic NBC series, Aniston and Schwimmer admitted that they had a crush on each other during the first season.

As Schwimmer explained: “Yeah, in the first season I had a big crush on Jen.” Aniston replied, “It was mutual.”

So why have Ross and Rachel’s real-life counterparts never officially gotten together?

“At one point we were both crashing,” Schwimmer explained, “but it was like two ships crossing each other because one of us was always in a relationship, and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that. But we both—”

Matt LeBlanc then interrupted by saying, “Bulls–t. Just kidding,” then suggesting that the co-stars may have shown a little PDA on set.

“Honestly, I remember once saying to David, ‘It’s going to be really disappointing if the first time you and I kiss is on national television,'” Aniston confessed. “And of course, the first time we kissed was in this cafe.”

But the co-stars made the most of their time together on set, with Schwimmer saying, “I thought back to the first year or two, you know, when we had breaks after rehearsals, there were times where we would cuddle on the couch.” Aniston added: “Or we’d fall asleep on the couch.”

Finally, Schwimmer admitted, “I wonder, how did everyone not know we were in love with each other?”
