Man United makes a limited list of possible Ruben Amorim replacements

Ruben Amorim under a meticulous examination after a disappointing start of the 2025-26 season, the Manchester United hierarchy will prepare for the possibility of making a change.

According to Football Insider, a limited list of three men has already been written, noting that the board of directors kept its open options should not improve in the coming weeks.

After heavy expenses in the summer transfer window, the Red Devils failed to produce the expected results of them this season.

Although the last result of United, a 2-1 victory against Chelsea, has changed the mood a little around the club, but the problems are still there to be seen.

Man united identify any replacements Ruben Amorim

According to the report, the three names on the limited list of the United Hierarchy are: Oliver Glasner, Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva.

Currently in charge of Crystal Palace, Glasner has impressed the observers by what he built there.

His recent success, including a triumph of the FA Cup and the positive performance of the Premier League, put it in the context as a person capable of stabilizing a club with high ambitions. His style is considered pragmatic but modern, which can appeal to United if they are looking for a manager who can balance the intention of attack with defensive solidity.

Iraola took Bournemouth to new heights under his stay at the club. The Spanish manager has improved the level of young players from the club, which has always impressed the united heirarchy because they focus on the construction of young talents for the future.

As for Silva, the manager has experience in the Premier League and he took care of Fulham when he was in crisis. He brought stability to the club while regularly making them competitive.

Beyond Pedigree, the board of directors would seek a manager who can provide consistency, improve morale and offer tactical clarity, three areas where Amorim has been criticized.

For the moment, Amorim remains in charge of the club, but the hierarchy is preparing for plans if it is a question of separating from the Portuguese manager.

The Red Devils are currently 11th in the Premier League after five games this season.
