Man United Feel Elliott Anderson could be their midfielder solution

Manchester United actively watches the Nottingham Forest Elliot Anderson midfielder.

The former head scout of United, Mick Brown, known for his deep ties to Old Trafford during their golden era, insists that Anderson embodies exactly the type of player that United needs at the moment.

The Red Devils wanted a new midfielder this summer, but they did not sign a player in this position.

They were strongly linked to a movement for Carlos Baleba from Brighton, but the Premier League team played the hard ball and decided to keep the midfielder while United’s interest became serious at the end of the transfer window.

Man United Admire Forest Midfield Elliott Anderson

The Red Devils have several options in mind for the midfielder’s position and one of them is Anderson de Forest, a player who has impressed in the past twelve months.

Anderson, 22, delivered a performance by the man of the match for England against Andorra on September 6, showing his talent more at the highest level.

Brown confirmed that United has watched Anderson closely.

“Man United looked at Anderson”, “ He told Football Insider.

“He did a great job in the Nottingham forest, then he entered the side of England and turned into a performance by the match man.

“United considers it exactly the type of midfielder they would like to bring.

“He goes up and down the park, he is confident and secured in possession of the ball, and he is not afraid to put a tackle they need.

“Anderson would solve, or would certainly help many problems they have had in Amorim.

“Everyone knows they wanted a midfielder in summer, but they couldn’t find the right one that was available at the price they wanted.”

The midfielder needing a restructuring and several targets which are inaccessible, Anderson appears as a potential affair, although always a precious good for the forest.

The Nottingham forest is naturally concerned with losing Anderson, especially after losing Anthony Elaga recently, another crucial member of their team.

Despite its value, United considers Anderson to be “ideal” to connect the gaps to the Amorim system, in particular given its promise of box-tobox.
