MAGA Target Senator Adam Schiff Shows Billionaire Donald Trump’s Big ‘Middle Finger’ to Voters

A Democratic senator and proven target of President Donald Trump’s vitriol has accused the MAGA leader of royally freaking out his supporters with a shocking attack on Venezuela over the weekend.
“It’s a big, militaristic middle finger to Donald Trump’s MAGA base,” Adam Schiff told MS NOW of the White House’s removal of Venezuelan tyrant Nicolas Maduro from his Caracas palace in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Schiff, whom Trump has repeatedly nicknamed “Shifty Schiff” over the years, pointed out that Trump repeatedly promised voters last year that he would engage in “no more foreign wars, no more nation building” if he won a second term.
The senator claimed Monday that Trump chose instead to keep what he described as a “campaign promise to the oil industry that if they spent hundreds of millions or a billion dollars on his campaign, he would reward them handsomely.”
“It’s about oil!” as he told the network. “It’s about oil, it’s about the oil wealth of Venezuela, which is said to have some of, if not the largest, oil reserves in the world.”

After Maduro’s capture on Saturday, Trump claimed that the United States would now “run” Venezuela, while refusing to provide further details on what exactly that means.
As part of any planned takeover, the president said he plans to take control of the country’s oil industry, which accounts for about 30 percent of Venezuela’s GDP and more than 80 percent of its national exports, so that U.S. companies can revive the sector.
Responding to questions Monday about the Saturday morning attack aboard Air Force One, Trump, accused of illegally failing to notify Congress of the attack, let slip that he had reported the seizure in advance to a number of U.S. oil companies.
“They want to come in, and they’re going to do a great job for the Venezuelan people, and they’re going to represent us well,” he told reporters. “The infrastructure is rusty, rotten, most of it is unusable. They are old, they are broken. We see pipes everywhere on the ground, nothing has been invested in for years.”
The Daily Beast has contacted the White House for comment on this story.
