Theo von asks that DHS deletes the video clip that presents him

Theo Von, actor and animator of the popular podcast “last weekend”, opposed a video published by the Department of Internal Security of the Trump Administration, which uses an extract from him: “Instead that you were expelled, guy – goodbye” to promote the agency’s deportation numbers.

On Wednesday, DHS shared a 31 -second video clip on X with the legend “Bye”. He begins with Von’s comment, then displays the assertion that 2 million illegal immigrants were expelled during the first 150 days of President Trump’s second term. It also shows that Trump saying: “They just stopped coming. They no longer come “, before concluding with a text on the screen which says” go now “on a takeoff plane.

“Yooo DHS I have not approved to be used in this area,” wrote Von on X Wednesday evening, citing the DHS Post with the video. “I know you know my address, so send a check. And remove this and please keep me away from your “Banger” expulsion videos. ”

Von continued: “Regarding immigration, my thoughts and my heart are much more nuanced than this video allows. Bye! “

DHS representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comments.

On his podcast, Von welcomed such guests from all sides of the political aisle, notably Donald Trump, JD Vance, Mark Cuban, Bernie Sanders, Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan as well as the other comedians Shane Gillis, Nikki Glaser and Pete Davidson. Von has two stand-up comedy specials on Netflix, “Regular People” (2021) and “No Offense” (2016).

Von, with David Spade, features and produces a “busboys” boyfriend film, which they wrote and are self -funded. The film takes place in a border town in Arizona and follows “David” and “Theo”, two friends who “think that becoming servers will solve all their problems. They are wrong, ”according to The Logline. Von is replaced by WME.
