How to make hard eggs
Follow these simple steps to make perfect hard eggs each time:
First, boil the eggs. Place them in a single layer in a saucepan or saucepan and cover them with cold 1 inch water. Bring the water to a boil over high heat.

Then let the eggs rest in hot water. As soon as the water reaches boiling, turn off the heat and cover the pot. Leave the eggs in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes, depending on how you like your eggs. The 10 -minute eggs will have vibrant and creamy yolks, while the 12 -minute yolks will be paler and opaque, with a more curd.

Finally, move them to an ice bath. When the weather is sold, drain the eggs and transfer them to a large bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Leave them in the ice bath for at least 14 minutes before peeling the eggs.
If you do not plan to eat the eggs right away, do not hesitate to leave them in the shells and store them in the refrigerator. But even if this is the case, do not cut the short ice bath! It is crucial to stop the cooking process and make eggs easy to peel later.

Perfect hard hard -boiled egg advice
- Buy the eggs in advance. If I cook sunny eggs, fresh eggs give the best results each time. But if I boil them hard, the opposite is true! Eggs on the boiled farm are more difficult to peel than older eggs. If you want to make perfect hard eggs, it is advantageous to buy them in advance and cook them after a few days in the refrigerator.
- Keep the eggs upside down. This tip comes from Jack’s mom, who makes the best eggs directed for family gatherings. So that the yellows land in the center of hard eggs, she recommends storing raw eggs upside down before cooking them.
- Don’t jump for the ice bath! Too much hard eggs have an unattractive greenish ring around the yolks. We want our yolks to come out yellow from the sun, so transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop the cooking process as soon as they get out of the pot. This step is also crucial for making hard eggs that are easy to peel. The ice bath helps to separate the membrane from the eggs from the shell, so you can take off the shell without tearing pieces of egg white.
- Peel them carefully. The ice bath should prepare for success here, but that does not mean that the shell will stand out in one piece. Gently press the egg on the counter to break the whole shell in small pieces. Rely carefully along fractures, leaving the egg whites as intact as possible.

Store and serve suggestions
The tough or non -peeled eggs will keep in the refrigerator up to 5 days. Take advantage of it as a snack full of protein with salt and pepper or all the seasoning of the bagel, cut them into salads, add them to grain bowls or garnish them on avocado toast. I also like to make hard eggs to transform into felled eggs, marinated eggs or egg salad!
